Our day-old chicks are healthy, lively, and perfect for starting or expanding your flock. We offer a variety of popular and reliable breeds in this group, including Maran types, Orpingtons, ISA Browns, Light Sussex, Bluebells, Legbar crosses and more.
These breeds are chosen for their temperament, hardiness, and egg-laying ability, giving you a mix of character and colour in your coop. Whether you’re after steady brown layers, classic heritage birds, or a splash of variety, our mixed day-olds are an excellent choice.
Chicks are sold as mixed; if you’d like a specific breed, please ask when ordering and we’ll do our best depending on availability.

At The Fluffy Thistle, we take great care to ensure all chicks and birds are healthy at the time of sale. Please note the following conditions:
No Refunds or Returns
All poultry sales are final. We do not offer refunds, exchanges, or replacements under any circumstances, including but not limited to sexing outcomes (e.g., if birds develop into roosters). All chicks are sold as unsexed unless otherwise stated.
Health at Time of Sale
Birds are sold in good health. Once they leave our premises, we cannot be responsible for their ongoing care, health, or survival.
Rooster Return Scheme
If you find yourself with more roosters than you can keep, we do offer a rehoming option. We are happy to accept unwanted roosters back into our flock. Please note that this is a return only scheme, no payment, refund, or exchange will be provided.
